MARTIN GARRIX - WILDE DIEREN - DIGIPAK ANALYSIS.

FRONT.
There is a picture of a tiger in the centre of the front cover of the digipak, with it's mouth wide open, and also with Martin Garrix's name written over the middle of the face. The tiger is a very powerful wild animal, and may relate to Garrix's style of music. The VHS effect provides an extra layer of amazement to the image, as it creates adds layers of a 3d, multi coloured and blurred effect overall.

The style of the font is quite bold in comparison to the name of the artist. The artist himself is more significant himself, than the song. We could say that the name of the song appears to be of smaller value, in comparison to the artist's name. Also, we can clearly see that the thickness level of the artists name for the font decreases letter by letter. The boldness, thickness, and thin attenuated letters make the artists name and first 2 initials very unique from every other artist in the music industry. The fact that he is a DJ may make him want to portray himself as the only one and the only best DJ around.

The sole purpose of placing the artist's name and the face of the tiger at the centre of the digipak is because this is where the audience look at first by default / automatically. It is a natural instinct to look at the face of the object. This then creates a sense of attraction between the audience and the product, ultimately making them want to purchase the product and treasure it.

The contrasting colour scheme between Garrix's name and the background, differentiates the artist's name from the background. On the contrary, there is however glimpses of white in the background, but the artist is already popular enough to be noticed and recognised by the audience. Also, the main colours used for the tiger + effects are Orange, Black, and White. These colours are not completely solid, as all 3 of the colours are blended and faded in together for the picture and the name of the artist. The main Primary colours are Orange for the tiger, and White for the colour of the artist's font name as well as small hints of White being shown in the tiger's face. The black background really allows the bright vibrant colours to lift off from the panel. This shows how Garrix expresses himself through the use of colour, and is very creative with what he does. The EDM genre shows a lot of vibrancy and eye - catching imagery.

Also, the "PARENTAL ADVISORY" label, at the bottom right hand side of the front cover is telling the audience how explicit language and inappropriate remarks / references are made in the song. This is a warning to the parents informing them of the contents beforehand. The label is mainly there to advise the parents before / if/ should they want or let their children to listen to the music. The content may appear as unsuitable for some children who are very young.
OVERALL, the front of this digipak is really eye-catching and exciting.

BACK.

The colour scheme is consistent throughout. Orange, Black, and White are still used for the text colour. (All these colours were used on the front of the digipak as well) These 3 colours also represent the stripes of the tiger as well. This portrays an image of style, and also bravery and authority. Tigers run the wild.

The back consists of the names of the songs, and the remix versions which are all included on the CD. This  is to tell the audience what they are actually spending their money on. The audience will be able to know that they are spending their money's worth. Also, the prices, bookings and management information is shown, as this will increase profits. (due to self promotion) These sets of information are all written in small print so that the attention is not drawn away from the main product itself.

We can also see the barcode at the bottom right hand side of the digipak. This is scanned for when every time a purchase of the product is made. Ultimately, stocks will be able to re-stock as more and more people invest into the product (popularity). Also, we can see that the Record Company Label Name (Spinning Records) and Logo is at the bottom left hand side of the digipak. This is quite small, as the attention must not be drawn away from the promotion of the main product. The red colour for the logo is not bright, but is a dull type of red, making itself blended in and distinct at the same time.

The image at the back, is of a picture of the artist himself. He is faded into the background with half his shoulder cut off which continues at the front of the digipak, and as the audience open the digipak, they will be able to see the 2 parts connect, and therefore view the full image of the artist. The tiger is at the front of the digipak, and Garrix may see himself as inferior on the outside, but superior to everyone else just like a tiger. The tiger represents Garrix's inner personality and inner-self. His identity is key to the audience. The audience would relate to Martin Garrix as the tiger in the industry.
OVERALL, the back is very amazing, and is very beneficial for the audience to gain some more important information.

CD (INTERIOR)

First of all, Martin Garrix's name, is exactly the same font colour and style as at the front of the digipak. The White colour stands out from the Orange and Black tiger stripes at the background. Also, the White colour could cannote how pure, ambitious and successful Garrix's career has been and will continue to be. The Orange, Black, and White colour scheme is also used at the front of the digipak, alongside the added VHS effect. The theme is consistent. "Wilde Dieren" means wild life in Dutch, and the record label is also a Dutch company. Martin Garrix remains focussed on keeping his product, theme, and ideas together, creating a unique product.
OVERALL, the compete digipak continues to adopt a constant theme throughout every panel of the digipak, ensuring the product has it's own individual identity, in relation to Martin Garrix.
